Disclaimers 'n' Stuffs

Gotta have the disclaimers, right?

Let's start with the business end of things. All items purchased through .:MCK:. - whether from the MarketPlace, or from the in-world store - are sold "as is" and do not come with any kind of warranty. .:MCK:. is not responsible for any damages, full stop. Besides, if something goes wrong with your viewer, computer, printer, air conditioning, or life, just by wearing an article of virtual clothing (regardless of where or from whom you purchased it), then it's fair to say it's a SecondLife issue, and that you should contact Linden Labs. Or a shrink. :P lol!

In that same vein, I am not able to do returns, refunds or exchanges, simply because the items sold are non-transferable. I'm not trying to be a big meanie here, though. SL screws things up all the time, so if you do have an issue with anything you've purchased, or it fails to deliver, please send me (marieclairek) a notecard in-world with your full username, order number, and item(s) purchased, along with a brief description of the problem. If it's something that I can rectify, I will do so as quickly as possible.

Now, about the stuff I wear in my photos. I only own the stuff I make. Simple enough, right? Skin, shape, hair, eyes, lashes, nails, shoes, make up, bracelets, necklaces, rings, earrings, etc. are copyrighted to their respective owners (I'll do my best to remember to list who they are!), unless otherwise noted or advertised. I fully respect all designers in SL, so if you are a designer, you see something of yours in my photos, and you do not like them being used, just say the word, and I will 86 them pronto. What I DO own is copyrighted to me, and if you steal it, I will come down on you with the full force of the law, both within SL and in RL. I have never copybotted anything in SL, and I will not tolerate those who do. I'm not joking, so consider yourself warned. ;)

Giveaways! Yes, I plan to do these at some point in the future, so I might as well say something about that here. Any contests you enter as a customer or "fan" of .:MCK:. are subject to the rules set forth for each. These rules will be listed at the time of the contest announcement(s). Additionally, contests and the items given therein are subject to the terms outlined here. If in the event the winner(s) are selected at random, the outcomes are final, and cannot be contested. Same goes for those with set criteria.

Dear Bloggers, I love you all. I have a special post regarding how you may go about collaborating with .:MCK:.. I will always be sure to read any terms and conditions on your blogs, and adhere to them. I ask that you please do the same for me. If you feature a .:MCK:. item on your blog (as part of a collaboration or not), and you do not give credit where it is due, I will ask that you remove it or credit it appropriately. Failure to do so may result in me reporting your blog for a ToS and/or copyright violation. Fair's fair, yes?

Lastly, the TOS updates and whatnot. I reserve the right to update this disclaimer at any time, with or without notification. Being a smart consumer means that you take the responsibility upon yourself to always review any Terms of Service from any merchant, real or virtual. Review them completely and often, and you will always know what's what.
